MANDELA – Multilateralism through Negotiation & Cultural Diplomacy Education in the Levant and Africa

An Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education project that strengthens universities in Israel, Ghana, and Ethiopia through curriculum innovation, institutional capacity development, and intercultural cooperation.

The project develops structured academic programmes in negotiation, cultural diplomacy, and multilateral dialogue to equip students and academic staff with the competences needed to address conflict, polarization, inequality, and democratic fragility in diverse societies.

Innovative Education

We develop cutting-edge curricula in negotiation, cultural diplomacy, and intercultural dialogue to equip students with 21st-century skills.

Faculty Empowerment

We train academic staff through innovative methodologies, enabling them to redesign courses that foster intercultural understanding and civic values.

Global Collaboration

We foster multilateral cooperation across EU and third-country institutions, promoting collaboration and knowledge exchange at all levels.

PARTNERS

MANDELA is implemented by a diverse and complementary consortium of higher education institutions and civil society organizations from Israel, Ghana, Ethiopia, Romania, Austria, and Germany.

The partnership combines academic expertise, institutional leadership, and practical experience in dialogue facilitation, curriculum development, and international cooperation. By bringing together universities from the Levant and Africa with experienced European partners, MANDELA ensures knowledge exchange, methodological innovation, and sustainable capacity building across regions.

MANDELA Project Completes Major Training Program

36 faculty members trained across four continents in EU best practices March 6, 2026 – The MANDELA Project announces the successful completion of its comprehensive online Training of Trainers program on EU best practices for intercultural understanding!
